Team #2002 Robots

Our robot last year was named "Tight Graphics." Weighing in at 120 pounds, and measuring 28" x 38" x 48", it was a great multi-purpose robot. It had six wheels, two CIM motors, a pneumatic claw, a 13" high platform with an attached ramp, and a control unit. Our robot scored points in two ways - by putting tubes on the bottom row of the rack and by allowing another robot to climb on top to earn bonus points at the end of a match.

Despite many technical difficulties, Tight Graphics did well for us. We placed 30th out of 54 teams at our regional, a respectable standing for our rookie year. We hope to raise that to be in the top quartile of teams in the 2008 season.
